i read mw by osamu tezuka last week and man is tezuka just a cartooning genius. this might be my favorite of his so far but that could just be because it's recent...
summary: it's about an evil serial killer twink that is a complete sociopath except when it comes to his closeted catholic priest lover. the priest believes he is saving him but he's just an accomplice
this was written in the 60s!! and it holds up decently well i think. someone talk to me about the queerness of tezuka comics (plz)

The art style of both the anime and the movie based on the anime are GORGEOUS. It is about spirituality, and almost feels slice of life y. but its dramatic and like. i really loved it okay.

Writing on a train feels really good. I just ate a burrito and thought about that unreleased Chappell Roan song, itâs really good I quite like it. Also I was thinking that Iâve been too quick to judge people lately. Like I felt soo disgusted at my summer roommate and her boyfriend (situationship?) showering together but â actually, I think Iâm going to unthink that, because you know what? That is really fuckin weird. And while I was home, tooâŠYou know what, I think being a bit hateful really is good. I say that especially because I used to have the opposite problem, I was too accepting and sometimes really bad things happen to you or to people you like and you donât do anything about it. You donât even realize you should do something about it until years later. I think Iâm still that way sometimes but, my roommateâs situationship, he bought me a bottle of Chinese apple wine as a housewarming gift for letting him stay over, at my dorm for two nights, and I can say with resolve that that is really strange and probably racially motivated.

Sitting on the train rn headed to cyrusâs place. I started my SVA residency yesterday and itâs been a bit tiringâŠbut exciting, I think! There are a lot of assignments and projects to keep track ofâŠI think itâs always a bit rocky coming into âschoolâ after a âbreakâ (though it feels more like a pre-college program or something, and the break was only two weeksâŠ). I think my big project this month will be a sort of queer awakening comic. Iâve been into writing queer stories that feel a bit more hopeful than they are dark, so if all goes well this will be my first one

i got an update from matthew that all the animation for episode 5 of the show iâve been animating for is officially DONE! so that means release on june 1! itâs called dream catchers itâs super whimsical and u guys should totally watch it ~
